My DESS operating mode is currently ‘Trade mode’. I tried to change it to ‘Green mode’. After applying the update is reports the trade mode has changed but if I refresh the page of check the setting days later the operating mode has not changed and it shows ‘Trade mode’.
I tried changing the operating mode via iPad app, android app and web vrm portal. All the same result…
Same here.
I only was able to chance the setting using the betavrm.victronenergy.com
But strangely the system started to feed the NET out off the battery (24% charge) instead feeding solar power into the battery.
The battery prediction showed a complet flatline (before in trade as in green power and before it was working fine).
Changing the battery mode in “keep charged” made system charging battery from NET and solar as expected.
Back to optimal for battery life it started to unload the battery again.
Disabling the Dynamic ESS made the system charge the battery with only the solar power available.
Makes me think there is another issue with the system.
It all depends on all the settings combined. Without that information, you’re only guessing.
This could be a bug in VRM perhaps because they are improving things in the background.

Solved.
Switching between trading and green power works on the spot.
And green power is now also working as expected.
