To Which Device Should Temp Sensor Connect?

The temp sensor came with the invertor/charger, so I connected it to the inverter/charger. But when the invertor/charger is turned off, temp is not available to the system. Should the temp sensor connect to the Cerbo GX instead? The shunt may be another option, but it seems I’d need a different temp sensor.

My RV power system includes:
Rooftop solar into MPPT charge controller
12V Lithium battery with built-in BMS, self-heated
Multiplus II 3xVA 2X120V
Cerbo GX(2)
Smart Shunt

For lithium a temp sensor is not needed.

But my multiplus reports temeparature also when off, the electronics work as long as a battery is connected

I have mine in my cerbo gx and I use it to measure the temp in the cabinet that everything is in. If it hits a certain temp some computer fans kick on using the relays in the cerbo gx to cool the cabinet.

When I had lead acid mine was connected to the Cerbo GX rather than inverter/charger. Now with lithium it is used to measure something else as the batteries have their own temperature sensor.

Here it is connected to a Cerbo GX to measure the room temperature. Used to start a mini-split airco to heat/cool the tech room.

Don’t need the temperature from the SmartShunt (battery is connected with 70mm2 double insulated).
