System not discharging

SYstem is supposed to discharge battery in current hour;

but this is what it is doing at the moment;

what is wrong here?

Disabling DESS and setting grid setpoint to -10000W does not help. System does not respond to it. This is on firmware 3.73

and this is what the system actually did:

and yes, DESS is on

If it also does not react to the grid setpoint and apparently don’t cover any consumption in the morning, then you have probably put the inverters physical switch into “charger only” rather than “inverter/charger”?

hi dognose, thanks for your suggestions and having a look at this!

I’m absolutley sure the physical switch is correct. I left home on thursday morning and then the system was working fine. And I have not been home since then. (and noone else is home).
The only thing I think might have influenced this is that I switched the system to inverter mode from VRM for a few seconds and the went back to ‘on’. Since then the systems seems to stay in ‘inverting’ mode as shown on the first image above.

This morning I also observed the PV inverter is throttled to 0. why would that be? The PV inverter is connected to AC-in/grid, and there are no negative prices and I do not limit feed-in. So why throttle it (the PV charger is producing though…)?
I just switch off dynamic power limiting for the PV inverter and it is producing again…

If you could post the numeric ID from your VRM portla URL, I could have a look if this may be dess related, and some unexpected setting is making it stay in a 100%-Target mode or sth.

the id is 725793

And this the current DESS plan:

but at the moment it is not discharging.

hope you find something I may have overlooked…

I also swith to multiplus as the battery source instead of the battery itself for now to see if that helps a bit.

Feel free to change it (or other settings) if you are allowed to do so. There is nothing mission critial right now :wink:

As expected now… disharging during the evening hours did not happen.

The PV charger was also limited to feed the excess solar to grid while DC feed-in is enabled.

It looks as if the mutiplus is in some sort of strange state, not listening to what the DESS/GX is telling it to do.

updated the muliplusses with latest assitents code (veconfigure mentioned there was an udate) hoping htat might help but to no avail.

The mulitplusses are doing basically nothing. See below picure where power from grid exactly matches power going to AC loads:

Just a thought appering in my mind just now. As I do not see any power going to the muliplusses I figured it might be that the RCD has been triggered… I can only chack that tonight.

So finally had a change to chekc the RCD and indeed it was tripped! Syste is working normally again!

Although some lessons learned, sorry for all the confusion.
