DESS creates nice schedule but battery does not charge/discharge

Last weekend upgraded CX firmware (3.54) and configured / started DESS. I gave it a few days to get going but I do not see serious charge/discharge activity corresponding to the schedule? First picture is the calculated schedule from yesterday. Second picture is the actual activity from yesterday.

Before enabling DESS I downloaded latest assistants, reran ESS assistant and uploaded to Multiplus
ESS is set to Optimized without BatteryLife
I do not see error messages.

Before this I used a node-red script to control the gridpoint. I notice this parameter is still set to 5000. Does that affect execution? Should it be driven by DESS or do I have to give it a specific value?

Otherwise any idea what could be wrong in my setup?
Thx for any help

You should set the grid setpoint to something around 0, as this is usually the basis to operate for the inverter in self consume mode.

So, when you set this to 5000, the inverter will only start to support your loads, when the consumption exceeds 5000 Watts.

Thx, I changed the gridpoint to 0 but still I see no charge / discharge activity?

Can you add a picture of all 3 graphs? (System overview, prices and the third one)

Also, which values did you configure for battery charge / discharge power and battery costs?

DESS does a sophisticated calculation on when charging from grid to use later is “worth it”.

It also consideres the configures SystemEfficiency figure - so, you should check, what you have for settings/DynamicEss/SystemEfficiency - if the Nodered script eventually changed that as well, it may just be DESS concluding something wrong.

Sure, thx for looking into this, status of just now:

I cannot find the settings/DynamicEss/SystemEfficiency? I looked in settings/Dynamic ESS in the dashboard but only see what is in the first picture.

in remote-control/settings/ess/dess I notice Target SOC = 95%. I cannot change this parameter?

Yesterday I switched DESS off and on again and this morning it seems to work?
Any way, thx for thinking along, I hope my settings are an interesting example for others.
