(D)ESS system (New) : with multiplus and Pylontech : battery does not discharge

A new installation with Cerbo GX, Multiplus II, Pylontech battreries, Existing PV inverter on AC-out with meter and Gridmeter (EM ethernet)Also a MPPT VE.Can 250/85. Monofase. All well conected. De batty loaded from the grid. Stays on 100% and does not discharge. DESS activated. Still no movement.

Maybe check the minimum soc in dess menu?

Is it on keep batterys charged? (Vrm)

Min Soc is on 15%
optimized without batterylife
Also MPPT loader stopped when battery is on 100%
It’s like the total DC system is blocked somewhere

Is your communication with the pylontechs ok?

Im using ess not dess, so dont know if there is something with settings

Did you get the system working without DESS first?

No answer yet…

He said its on optimezed without batterylife

Why is the battery marked “inactive” ?

Thats normal when its not charged or discharged

Sorry, i have no experience with DESS, but then it could be the system is saving the battery to get a higher rate ?

If the price is now very low i wouldn’t sell either.

Check this :

Just a try…I am running Multigrid with VenusGX and Pylontech. Same happened to me when “max discharge power” was set to “0”. (accidentially by my own script…)
Try to either set register 2704 to max (in my case 3000W) or use remove limit of inverter power. Venus looks like

Whats your grid setpoint? That could be an issue to as per ludo’s link

After update Multiplus an reboot it’s working fine.
