Setup includes the following:
- 4x SmartLithium NG 300Ah in parallel
- 1x Lynx Smart NG BMS 1000A
- 2x MultiPlus-II 3000W / 120A in parallel
- 1x SmartSolar MPPT 250/100
- 4x Orion-Tr DC-DC 50A
- 1x Cerbo GX
Theoretical maximum charge current should be +300A but it’s being limited by the BMS even though maximum charge current (CCL) is set to 1200A.
One thing to note is that the BMS voltage limit is set to 13.7V even when the batteries are drained to 60% but that doesn’t appear to be a setting that can be changed.
Wondering why we only see 180A no matter the SOC of battery?
Update the BMS firmware to V1.14. The 13.7V CVL was a bug in the earlier firmware. The firmware also had a bug in repeated absorption time if it was set to 1 day. With V1.14 it is 14.0V absorption and 13.5V float. With a 14.0V CVL you will be able to charge at a higher rate. Make sure your SOC threshold and repeat absorption interval are suitable for your use. The defaults of 70% and 30 days may not be ideal. As a test set them to something like 1 day and 90% to make sure the CVL cycles properly from 14.0 to 13.5 and see if this helps charging.
Another thought, I believe that the default charhe rate set on a Multiplus 3000 is 90A not the max 120A, which is what mine came set at. So both MPs charging may only give you 180Aif the solar / Orions are not charging.
