I have a system composed of Victron Lithium Smart batteries connected to a Lynx BMS. The Lynx BMS is connected to a Cerbo GX. There is also a SmartSolar MPPT and MultiPlus 3000 in the mix.
The issue we’re running into is that even though the Cerbo shows a charge voltage setting of 14.2 and a charge current setting of 90 the Multiplus is only charging at 9 to 10amps. I’m also running into the Multiplus just turning off rather than inverting when set to On or Invert only.
pls post you setting from VEConfigure of the MP2.
The MP2 can be limited in the firmware by your configuration.
There is a fix limit and the dynamic limit.
Please post your setting from DVCC.
In DVCC (Cerbo GX/Venus OS) yoiu can limit battery charing and loading.
Please check voltage from BMS vs voltage shown on MP2. You can sse both in Venus OS.
I put a voltage sense line (VSense) from MP2 to battery pols, which compensated the voltage drop on the battery cables. I had 50qmm used at 70A.
Please check all connections and ensure they are fat-free (touch from your fingers). Use gloves and isopropanol to clean them. Use correct torque. Double check there is no isolation material between the FLAT connections. Small things inbetween can create hugh resitance and even burn.
Voltage matches between BMS and Multi and all connections are torqued. If resistance was the problem I would expect to see different voltages between multiplus terminals and battery terminals.
