SmartSolar 250|70 disappeared from the VRM and device list

Hello community!

The SmartSolar MPPT disappeared from VRM and device list in the remote console. This happened after I connected solar panels to the EasySolar-II and error #67 “BMS Connection lost” appeared. Then, I disabled SmartSolar control via BMS in the VictorConnect settings. The battery charge from the SmartSolar works fine, but no visible in VRM and device list in the remote console. I can configure SmartSolar via Bluetooth in VictorConnect. The firmware version Venus OS was v3.65. I tried updating to v3.66 and after v3.70~35. I did a factory reset GX device using a USB stick. This had no effect. The battery is connected to the EasySolar-II via BMS-CAN.

How can I make SmartSolar visible in the VRM again? Before connecting the solar panels, it never disappeared from the VRM.

My setup:

EasySolar-II GX 24V - 3000VA - 70A - MPPT 250/70

LiFePO4 DIY Battery with BMS JK JK-PB2A16S20P V15 (FW 15.41)

3 x Solar panel 435W in serial connection.

Did you ever resolve this? I’ve noticed the same issue as of around a week ago, updating to 3.66 didn’t resolve the issue for me either. But I no longer see the MPPT of my EasySolar II in Victron Connect or VRM

The problem hasn’t been resolved yet. I still can’t see the MPPT in the VRM portal.

It sounds like your issue might be a little more complex than mine, but if it’s helpful, I managed to resolve mine by isolating my Easy Solar from the batteries, solar and shore power. Leaving it off for a few minutes (not sure if this was necessary) and then reconnecting the sources. Once it rebooted everything was showing properly again.

Best of luck!

Josh, I’ve done all this several times. The MPPT was broken. Specifically, the incorrect voltage 10.96V DC beetwen 1 and 4 pins on the VE.Direct port in MPPT.

The supplier sent me a new MPPT under warranty, and I replaced it. After the replacement, the MPPT appeared in the VRM. Everything works fine after applying voltage PV and BMS controlling in the DVCC (the same settings were there before).
