Second EM24 for Generator doesn't show up in neither Remote Console nor VRM

Hi there,

I have an issue with a second EM24 counting the current but shows as disconnected in the VRM. Similarly addressed already here. link

Setup:

3 Multiplus II 5000 as configured as 3 phase system currently in grid parallel operation. PV inverter Fronius Symo coupled on AC as well as a fuel cell coupled on L1 with a separate EM24 (installed to measure 3 phases). The grid EM24 and the generator EM24 are both connected to the cerbo with an RS485 each.

All loads are currently on AC Input 1.

Issue:

The current reading of the generator is available, but is not showing up in the VRM (as well as GUI of the remote console) dashboard as Generator, regardless if it is providing power or not. In the device list in the remote console it shows up as disconnected, but the current reading in the sub menu is correct and available. In the remote console and the VRM dashboard it adds the generated power to AC loads count.

If I change the config of the EM24 to PV inverter, it shows up in the VRM as PV Inverter and in the remote console as connected. See here:

Is this a software issue or am I missing something?

Best.

Thomas

Hi Rechi,

to me your configuration looks just fine, can’t find anything wrong.
And since I have the same issue in another installation my guess really is a software bug.

My usecase is:
The meter is supposed to count energy generated by a CHP (German BHKW) and display it in the Venus Interface and VRM as “Generator”. The meter always shows as “disconnected”, but it is there and I am getting readings. Cross-Check: The same meter works properly when set to “PV-Inverter” and counts the energy towards PV-Production. But nothing works when set to role “Generator”

@mpvader Several people have posted about the non-working role of gridmeters when set to “Generator”, can you please have your team look into this?

thanks and BR

Hi guys.

Does anybody has any idea to this? It is still present in 3.65.

Best
