RJ45 splitter + Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX + VE.Bus Smart Dongle

Hello.

The Multiplus is connected to the Cerbo GX: Can I also connect a “Digital Multi Control 200/200A GX” and a “VE.Bus Smart Dongle” via an RJ45 splitter?

Is this configuration also possible if multiple Multiplus units are operating in parallel?

Thanks for your help.

There is still one VE.Bus connection available, one at the Cerbo and one at the Multiplus.

You need the linked splitter. This has different pin out than the others

I can’t tell you whether Cerbo and VE. bus smart dongle are compatible. What do you want to do with it?

I would go via venus.local, using the Wifi GX display if necessary.

What is your plan with that?

The VE.Bus Smart Dongle will go into a read-only secondary mode if it detects a Digital Multi Control and/or GX device on the VE.Bus and the GX device will disable the controls too if it detects a Digital Multi Control.
So you will only be able to switch (set the input current) the MultiPlus with the DMC, you wont have all controls on all devices.

Thanks for your help.

The Multiplus (possibly two units in parallel operation, whether one or two will be installed is still undecided) will be installed in such a way that there is no longer any access to the Multiplus itself, meaning the on/off switch will be inaccessible.

I know that everything can be controlled via the Cerbo GX, but I would still like to install a physical on/off switch that also works without a display.
