with no load on system and batteries are good the inverter immediately goes to overload when turned on.

If the inverter goes straight to overload with no load when turned on, this usually indicates damage to the Mosfet switching pack. Inverter should be returned for repair.
What’s the serial number of the Quattro?
Starts with HQ followed by 4 numbers.
There is a known issue with that model but not all are affected.

Yours is the 48volt one.
One of the issues for the 12v one is the underestimating the amps being processed on the DC side. So the factors like DC riplle are much more pronounced and detrimental.
Yes, I have 48V, but I have a similar problem.
My inverter makes a distinctive sound when turned on and goes into an error state—the “overload” LED lights up. After switching on and off several times, it turns on and works fine until a long outage (about 12-14 hours). If the outage was short, this doesn’t happen again.
To isolate the problem, I disconnected all AC inputs and outputs, leaving only the battery connected—the problem persisted. I checked the voltage ripple (VEConfigure) when the inverter turned on and went into an “overload” state; it was 0.3V.
I checked the BMS for errors—they were not.
I updated the inverter firmware and reconfigured it from scratch.
None of this worked. The problem may be with the inrush current when charging the inverter capacitors, but the system had previously worked fine and I hadn’t noticed any such issues.
Maybe there will be some thoughts on this matter.
There is a physical fault and the unit needs to be repaired.
Is quite high for a systen doing nothing.
