Problem with VRM display. Calculated values don't match

Hello, the displayed AC loads do not seem to be correct. In general, none of the calculated values for “self-consumption” in the VRM seem to add up either. Regarding the battery storage system: it uses an external transfer switch (.s99 firmware) with Victron current transformers. No loads are currently connected to this storage system. I use it to control it via Modbus in ESS Mode 2 using the grid setpoint. That all works wonderfully. However, the AC loads shown seem rather strange to me, as do the values calculated for self-consumption in the VRM. These can only be the consumption of the MultiPlus II units (6K5, 6 units). The power readings on the AC grid are correct; I check them with another meter.

Hi and welcome.
Please provide more details about your system and the configuration, there isn’t a lot to go on here and you will get better answers if people don’t have to guess. Thanks.

6x Victron MP2 6k5 - [S99 firmware with external transfer switch]

16x Pylontech US5000 batteries.

1x Cerbo GX

There isn’t much more to it. The system was designed and configured specifically for this installation.

Configured as an ESS.

As mentioned, there are no loads at all, as I set the grid setpoint via Modbus and control the system using a PLC.

the sums of the values don’t match up very well here either

Have you configured the GX AC loads position to be in-front only (since you are exporting to presumably cover an AC load).
CT’s also are not ideal in this configuration, you would be better off with an energy meter, so this won’t be helping.
Since the system cannot see any loads, and in this config it is not likely to display correctly, it’s not the sort of use-case the UI is considering.

In a multiphase environment, It won’t without a proper energy (grid) meter.

I would then install an external energy meter.

The Victron Energy EM24 3-phase / 65A energy meter would be my choice.
