Phoenix Smart IP43 charger: Firmware none, multiple blinking (flashing) lights

I’d be grateful for some help.

I’ve just returned to the boat to find the Phoenix Smart Charger inoperative. Low, Bulk, and Abs lights flashing amber; all four Mode lights flashing blue. When I connect to it using the Victron Connect app it opens Firmware update page: Current version: none; New version: v3.61. But when I try to install the new version it fails at 93%.

Any suggestions?

Can you try another phone/tablet?

Hi @Farbrook

From the service report we can see that the chargers stays in its firmware download state (the so called bootloader) after the update. This can be caused by a problem with the internal storage or can be caused by a “sticky” button. So when you are sure that the button is not continuously pressed, there seems to be a hardware problem with the charger that cannot be fixed. I would advice you to contact the seller to have it replaced under warranty.

Kind regards,

Thanks Thiemo

When you say a ‘sticky button’: what button do you mean?
