I used my Blue Smart IP65 Charger for the first time and it’s flashing the LED’s. The manual doesn’t have a troubleshooting section so I’m not sure what this indicates. Does anyone here know?
Did you connect using VictronConnect? It likely needs firmware updates.
I did try but it kept failing.
I’ve updated the app and it keeps crashing never getting passed 30% of the update. Sometimes the green leds on the unit come on.
I would talk with your distributor. It shouldn’t be doing that.
It’s worth noting that the troubleshooting section of the manual is actually linked right there on that screen - click the blue text and it should pull up the relevant section of the full manual online (the printed manual that came with the unit is not the full manual).
That said, I’ve seen a fair few of the X88 errors during FW updating in recent days; so far, in my experience, all have managed to resolve just by fiddling with it for a while. Power off the charger, let it sit for a while to let the caps drain out, close (actual close, not just send to background) the VictronConnect app, re-power the charger, restart the app, try again. I’ve seen a few take 4 or 5 tries but so far I haven’t seen one be completely unrecoverable.
Yeah I noticed that link too. I was troubleshoot old school with the manual pdf. The website mentioned using a different phone. Kinda absurd but the update installed with that. So it’s all fixed. Dunno why that wasn’t in the PDF though. Unless I read over it
