Hello, I want to connect a Phoenix 12-3000 via 120 mm² cable to the Lynx distributor, is this possible?
I read somewhere that 125 A per channel is the maximum.
I have a Multiplus 12V/3000 connected with a 400A fuse and 95mm2 double insulated.
If a cable fits depends on the OD of the insulation, you can not just base it on conductor CSA. I have found this old answer from a Victron member of staff.
From the bus bar, the maximum external wire size diameter (including insulation) is 22 mm, without some modification.
The lug is an M8.
Thank you for the quick reply, I will connect directly to the battery with 300A T-fuse inline, the rest is connected to the 2 lynx distributors.
The question was not about fitting, but if the amperage did not exceed the allowed amperage per fuse connection on the distributor. Chat GPT says maximum 125 A continuous per channel.
Hopefully I answered the right and the wrong question. ChatGPT is totally wrong on this. The manual is the best info and all that says is “The total rating of all fuses must be less than the total rating of the distributor” which is 1000A. I have about 680A of fusing in mine with the battery supply T Class fused at 600A, all in spec.
Thanks, I will connect it with the inline fuse directly to the side bussbar (extra connection ;-)). You where right by the way, chatGPT excused him(her?)self.
