Not able to see Multiplus ii via MK3 USB

Hi, upgrading my old system with a Multiplus ii, Lynx distributor, etc.

I need to program the Multiplus. I have the MK3-USB C dongle. I tried accessing it through my PC with the Victron Connect app downloaded. Could not see the device on the screen. I tried the same using an iPad with app downloaded, could not see the device.

The dongle is plugged into one of the two ve.bus ports, I tried both ports, nothing is plugged into the other port.

Some people it appears have had problems with the driver on a PC. I tried my iPad and got same result though. Another post I found on this topic was solved by using an android phone which I do not have.

Any ideas?

Have you tried a different Ethernet cable have you check the com port of the usb cable from the drop down panel in connect

you need to use the VE Configuration tools for VE.Bus Products software not Victron connect

Ok, I used the VE configuration tools, installed the driver, and was able to update the settings.

I still cannot see the Multiplus on bluetooth, but it worked from my PC

The MultiPlus doesn’t have Bluetooth.

for Bluetooth you will need this adaptor
or use a Serbo or Encanto GX device to use Wi-Fi VRM and extra fancy features, will also connect to the Lynx distributor for a one stop shop
