I have just installed a new Multiplus II 48/5000 in my boat (connected to the battery but not yet to 230 in/out). But for some reason, it will not connect to VictronConnect. It shows up on the app in my mobile phone (Android) but does not connect. I have also tried connecting it to my Windows computer with a Victron VE.Direct to USB cable but there it does not show up at all… The MPPTs connect fine via bluetoth to the phone as well as via the cable to the computer. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?
The MultiPlus doesn’t have Bluetooth or VE.direct.
What device do you have exactly?
Can you add some screenshots/pictures?
Ve direct from windows to multiplus is not possible, bluetooth should work on these newer gx models (old gx multiplus dont have bt)
you can also try to connect to it with wifi

Thanks. I also have an MK3 to USB that I tried in the ethernet port. Should that work? Another port?
Mk3 is not for ethernet, if you dont follow instructions or manuals you will blow up something…
mk3 is for ve bus setup
start by reading the manual supplied with the multiplus gx…

Just trying to help, happens too often that manuals are not used and expensive equipment gets damaged 
It’s OK. Just wanted to point it out since we’re in a “beginner” thread. And Victron manuals are pretty lousy. Have read them quite a few times in the past.
Finally managed to get it to talk via wifi on Victrom Connect and VRM portal. But, sadly, bluetooth still does not do it.
