I had this working a year ago. Returning to the boat this summer, i am unable to connect. The only thing changed is the laptop was upgraded to windows 11 and the latest versions of the veconfi and drivers was installed. the Firmware on the Multiplus is up to date. VE config detects the MK3-USB as Com3, but when select it, it slowly draws 20 dots accross the screen then gives me a button to click for connection help. Previously i was only able to get this to work by first plugging in the MK3 dongle, starting VE config, then plugging the VEBus cable into the dongle. But now no possilbe sequence of connecting , turning on, etc will work. They all give the same result. the only way i can configure my multiplus is by uploading a file using the VRM remote console, which only works whenmy boat has access to an internet connection which is rare. Is there a known problem with this tool that is preventing it from working as advertised? Thanks for any help. Peter
Do check to see that the UTP cable to the multiplus is good, and that NO OTHER controller is on the VE-Bus - cerbo-digital control panel etc.
Thanks. Ive tried multiple cables, including brand new one made by victron. even though it used to work fine with the cerbo-gx plugged into the multiplus, ive tried disconnecting it with no change.
Any chance the MP II switch is in the wrong position? I knocked the switch one time when plugging in the RJ45 cable… and it took me a couple minutes to figure it out. Do you get any lights on it?
Alternative is to try a different MK3 device, or try your existing Mk3 on a different inverter.
I’ve used VE Config on win 11 with no problems.
BTW, why atre you needing to reconfigure an existing install?
