No grid values show in guiv2

Hi,

I’m running 3P ESS system on Quattros, installed all Venus updates, replaced Cerbo MK2 over RMA and:

  1. new GUI - no Grid values still on the system without external grid meter

There are grid values under old GUI and VRM

  1. Victrons MPPTs - unstable connnection over VE.Can - resulting in “hidden” No BMS errors which are mainly shown after turning off and on Ve.Can port, please find link how MPPTs operate
  1. minor issues with BMS lost connection to the Pytes battery bank with Pytes Hub which I got once with battery SOC close to 100%

Reliability is a main criteria, this is my first DIY Victron’s system, have seen other ESS syststem build by technicans and they have simillar problems where owners are left alone.
This is not my first ESS system at all, have others not Victrons without realtime and remote management but with far better reliability.

Dear Victron - please work with it !

I can downgrade my system by my own decission in one day “throwing away” all Victrons stuff but know inverstors left alone with - as I belief - communication problems, people who paid a lot of money for their ESS systems.

Best regards

First of all: the Beta release thread is not the right place to ask for support: please create a new topic (next time) - thanks for the move @lxonline.
Second: can you give us some info on your system and (GX) software versions running ?

If you’re not depending on features in the Beta version, please revert to the v3.55 Stable release.

After replacing your Cerbo, did you reconfigure the settings ?
Simply dropping in a new Cerbo and activating it in VRM is not enough.
From the looks of your screenshots, your system seems to be running off grid.
Values in the old UI can be measuring/rounding errors, please verify if your Quattro’s are On Grid or not.

Making threats to “throw away” your Victron system doesn’t impress anyone here and won’t get you faster support.
If you are unhappy with your Victron system, the first place to go complain about it is your installer and/or distributor.

first of all, I’m in touch with my distributror and I help some instalers, that is why I know that not only me is the one having troubles

I had all the stable Venus OS and the system was terrible on them, in fact your last beta updats helped a little bit that two of Can ports of Cerbo MK2 started to work “better” - one as BMS second for Victrons MPPT can communication

it was no problem to use one port VE.Can#1as BMS Can for Pytes hub what happend on the VE.Can#2 after connecting 3xMPPTs was terrible
changing order i.e. BMS on VE.Can#2 was terrible for quality of data transfer HUB-Cerbo

all data cable - except for Pytes HUB to Cerbo - are from Victron and work well if I use them outside of this system

of course, it is reconfigured by myself

it is Grid tied system but on new GUI it shows nonsens

this system can’t work on it fully functional, I had to use both VE.Can connections on diffrent settings
Beta update is the solution rigt now that is the reason why I made my statement in the Beta topic

I’m in day by day touch with my distibutor and technical advisor, they are aded to my VRM and they know all about this system

complaining  that is funny, this is not a complain this is reporting
after almost 3 weeks of deliberating with your official distributor I’ve made my post to report the situation, they really want to help but all our possibilities are limited

I’m the problem solver, will have to expant PV generation on this site some equipment is ready, had to postpone the decision due to problem with Victron software and/or hardware i.e. Cerbo MK2
If I’ll find a solution great if not, Ok I’ll rebuilt the system without Victrons stuff

I’m rather your ambassador then enemy  this morning I’ve visited other ESS system explaing non technical owner how to change charge current in DVCC to solve ad hoc a problem, when the installer is looking for solution for a month without any idea, problem solved for time beeeing owner happy waiting for stable solution

best regards

For the record: I’m not Victron staff but an installer just like you.
So far I’ve never encountered the troubles you’re reporting.
Last time I noticed completely bogus grid usage values, the L1-L2-L3 current transformers positions of the VM-3P75CT meter didn’t match those of the voltage sense wires.
But yes, there seems to be a bug in the v3.60~60 beta version in regards to the VM-3P75CT meter.
See this thread.
If that matches your problem, you are probably hitting that bug.
