I have 3 x 300ah Lithium NG batteries connected to a Lynx Distributor 1000 and a Smart BMS 1000 NG. The Battery tab does not show on VictronConnect/Lynx Smart BMS. It only shows Status, Distributors, History and Trends. How do I display the Battery information with VictronConnect?
Further Information:
My Victron Lynx Smart BMS 1000 (M10) is not displaying any battery information from my three Victron LiFe 12.8V/300Ah NG Batteries.
The attached system diagram shows my Victron equipment installation. The generator and shore power connection have yet to be installed.
VictronConnect/Lynx Smart BMS xxx displays Status, Distributors, History and Trends, but no battery information. It is also controlling the Victron Smart Solar MPPT 250/100-Tr VE.Can OK. Similarly, Victron VRM displays everything except the battery information.
The green status LED on the Lynx Smart BMS NG and the green power LED on the 2 Lynx Distributors are illuminated, but the blue Bluetooth LED is flashing.
I have checked all connections. I have disconnected one of the battery BMS cables and the alarm energised. I reconnected the battery BMS cable and the alarm extinguished. I have isolated each battery sequentially, and still could not get any battery information. I have shutdown the system by going into System Off Mode, and then back into System On Mode - still no battery information.
I have updated all the firmware.
Where am I going wrong?

And Another Issue:
In VictronConnect/Lynx Smart BMS xxx displays Status, if I enable Pre-Alarm, I get two Alerts - “W-B06: Load will disconnect” and “W-B01: Low Cell Voltage”. If I disable the Pre-Alarm, then the Alerts clear. The BMS NG appears to be charging the LiFe 12.8V/300Ah NG Batteries perfectly. Is there something wrong with my system?
Still no Battery tag in VictronConnect.
Did you update the battery firmware?

From the serial/product number it looks like you have the wrong BMS.
For the new NG battery you need the new NG BMS.
Due to a totally different communication between battery and BMS the new NG battery are not compatible with the “old” non-NG BMS’.
Yeah, some clarification is needed. There is some switching in the description of what is being used.
I would start with - did you follow the commissioning steps.
Thanks Matthias and LX. I am confused - these are the Part Numbers and Serial Numbers for my NG equipment:
3 x Victron LiFe Battery 12.8V/300Ah NG 3,840Wh
- Part Number: BAT512130620
- Serial Number: HQ2429E9NER
- Serial Number: HQ2429NEQMX
- Serial Number: HQ2429UK4ZK
1 x Victron Lynx Smart BMS 1000 (M10) - Part Number: LYN034170210
- Serial Number: HQ2419E62G7
Are you saying that I have the wrong Lynx Smart BMS 1000 (M10)? Looks like I should have Victron Lynx Smart BMS 1000 NG (NextGen) M10 - LYN034170310. Is this correct?
Please confirm and I will contact my Victron agent for a replacement.
Will I do any damage by using this BMS in the meantime?
As I already wrote the BMS you have is the non-NG.
The batteries are NG, 12V 300Ah is only available as NG.
Can I do any damage by using the existing BMS until the correct BMS is supplied?
The BMS won’t work as it should.
You would run the batteries without BMS protection which is not recommended.
The NG batteries don’t have Bluetooth so you can’t look at the status of the batteries.
You should wait for the correct BMS.
Thanks
