Multiplus vs. Multiplus II

Should a Multiplus respond the same as a Multiplus II to commands from the Mk2 interface?
Whilst I can get any information I want from Quattros and Multiplus IIs, all the Multiplus will tell me is its version number and that it is “down” . A terrible pain in all its diodes down its left side, perhaps?

What firmware is it on? Capabilities are often limited by dated versions.

2669508 - It’s new - only supplied a couple of weeks ago.
I’d just like to know if it should respond the same as a Quattro. And if it should it’s my problem to find out why it doesn’t; and if it shouldn’t I’d like to know what it can’t do.

II can’t think why it, as a vebus product, using the same tools, would behave differently.

Pls upgrade to …552, 508 has some bugs.

Thanks for that gem of information. Knowing that it should behave exactly the same as other VeBus products must have cut debugging time by half. The fault turned out to be a through-hole plating fault on my pcb on the 0V pin of the 9-pin D connector. This made the Mk2 behave like a rather error-prone loopback connection. No wonder I was getting some confusing results.
By the way, I really like the Mk.2 interface - I’m sure that there must be other usefulundocumented commands - how about releasing some more information on it?
