I have seen several posts about VRM instance id’s and i cannot figure out how to fix it. I replaced my RPI with Cerbo-S GX now my VRM does not show MultiPlus correctly I can see it and all the data and can send setpoints the mode from VRM. The Mutiplus always show the off on vrm graph.

I was able to get this figured out. The issues ended up being the MK3 to usb. When I plugged it into the Cerbo on Vebus it gave it new ID 276. Everything started working showing AC input and AC loads.
When using the USB to MK3 it would not update the VRM graph but would show correct info in device list.
I have the same issue but I am not sure I understand what you did to fix it. The MK3 was or was not connected? Was it connected to a different port? Or, you unplugged and re- plugged it in and it solved?
Many thanks!

Is all your firmware up to date? What are you using as a GX?
Not sure why the original poster would need an mk3 to usb adaptor to connect an inverter to a cerbos as it has ve bus built in.
Hello - I’m using Victron Cerbo GX MK2 System Controller. Firmware is up to date. I provided the version in the note. The data is recorded in the GC in the details for MP II in devices pages. The graphic display on the homepage does not display the aforementioned details. So I’m flummoxed.
Sorry about the delay in responding. My issues started when I upgraded the to Cerbo after my raspberry pi failed. VRM would recognize a second ID for multi plus and never switch to original ID. It took deleting VRM id on web portal while cerbo powered off. Power on cerbo without multi connected. Don’t just disconnect the communication cable power the multi off. Let cerbo boot up and connect VRM portal. Then power on the muti with Communication cable connected.
I did it in this order and it worked.
Is the inverter firmware up to date?
Multiplus II is on version 497. I believe this is the latest recommended for my unit.
Smart bus dongle v1.19
The firmware versions are all the way up in the 550s now. Its a bit out of date for the newer firmware on everything else.
