Good morning folks,
I am running a MultiPlus-II GX 3000 with a set of pylontech US5000 batteries, purely on UPS mode with a few critical loads attached.
My MultiPlus-II GX is now consuming only 6 watts in idle when it used to always draw 30 watts.
Im not overly concerned, but more curious… has there been a firmware update automatically installed? Don’t get me wrong, im happy at less consumption but just seems strange.
Any ideas why this would be?
Firmware Updates on VE.Bus devices are not automatic. You need to do that manually.
VenusOS updates on the GX device can be automatic, depending on what you set it at.
How do you measure the self consumption?
Hi Chigru,
Thank you for your reply!
I measure the current draw via the VRM app and also on the victron colour control screen.
Always used to show a passive consumption of +30 watts difference between grid input and the AC outputs.
Always assumed that was the ambient draw that the victron inverter used.
Seems strange that its suddenly dropped to only 6 watts draw.
Cheers,
Ant
