MP2 self consumption & AC out power measurement questions

Hi

I just received my Multiplus 48/5000 GX. To check it was all good after transportation, I plugged it to my battery (and only the battery).

The only settings I made are setup wifi & updated to latest firmwre…

then two things surprized me:

  1. the self consumption (I was expecting something lower than 37/39W)
  2. the load power measure is not displaying zero (reminder: nothing connected)

Is this normal ? Happy to get your feedback

Thanks
Matthieu

The Multiplus2 5000 has a “standby” current of about 18W, then additional 8-10W for GX-Device (assumption) would lead to a overall consumption of about 26-28W. The remaining 9W is on the AC-Out. So this 37W from the battery should fit in my opinion.

Looks completly normal, ac load is a calculation and not 100% accurate

Hi

18w for the MP2 GX 5000 converter, correct.
Yhe integrated Cerbo has no value, but the “external” Cerbox GX unit is rated 3 to 5w (note 19 here).

I have wifi enabled, maybe this is also draining a bit (will test its impact).

Let’s assume the above are the baseline of the self consumption (thanks for the highlights), the delta is what is found in AC out measure… which I do not understand, since there is nothing connected to AC out !

Update: according to Marc answer, nothing dramatic nor abnomal then. Isn’t there a shunt for the AC load ?
