MultIplus 6k5 als ESS zieht immer wieder Strom aus dem Netz 1 Phase

Hey, the system is often set to ‘Ext. Ctrl.’, but my many other systems do the same and work without any problems. What else is supposed to control the devices apart from the Cerbo? Only the batteries are connected via CAN; nothing is connected via Modbus/Node-RED.

The “Ext. Ctrl.” for inverters is probably okay, I have my inverters also often in “Ext. Ctrl” mode, but typically I am controlling the Grid Setpoint programmatically from NodeRed.
What is really weird is the “External Control” shown for the MPPT regulators – this is weird, and I have never seen that. Check your other systems, if you have this “Ext. Control” tag for the MPPT SmartSolars.

If my understanding is correct, typically nothing is supposed to control the devices apart from Cerbo. The batteries shall talk only to the Cerbo, and Cerbo than shall talk to the Victron devices.

Additional questions for you to verify/answer:

  • Which model of Cerbo do you have? Mk.2, or the older one?
  • In which CAN port are your Pytes batteries connected?
  • 6k5 inverters are connected via CAN? Do they use separate CAN bus?
  • How did you connect the MPPT 250/85? CAN bus or VE.Direct? Is it “SmartSolar VE.Can”, or the model without the CAN bus?

Simply means the MPPT is controlled by DVCC and normal for Systems that use DVCC in combination with a smart battery

But this is weird, or at least inconsistent.

In my system, I do have “smart” battery (6x Pylontech US5000), the system is using DVCC (it is in the state “forced on” because of the smart battery Pylontech is detected), and I have never seen that tag “Ext. control” for my SmartSolar MPPT chargers (I have 3 of them: 2x 250/100 + 1x 250/100 SmartSolar VE.Can version).

Mine system is behaving “as expected”, and is not showing the tag “External Control” for Solar chargers. @Autarksys 's system do NOT behave “as expected”, and he has that “Ext. Control” there. I am not saying this is the definitive reason for the observed problems, BUT it may be a clue worth investigating, why this happens…

Just my 2 cents…
