Hi, I’m trying to upgrade FW from v430 to v552. I believe I have followed the procedure as best I can, however, as soon as I go to VRM Portal > Device List > Firmware Update > Update device and accept all warnings, it doesn’t start, and gives me an error mk2vsc - 33. It says "An error occurred during the update process. Please try again later! The error Message is “No VE.Bus product was found”
I shut off the inverter by the DMC and disconnected the DMC device at the DMC side. I think the inverter is still in the ON mode for the DMC. This wasn’t explained well in the procedure.
Please help. What am I missing? Jim
I just tested through VRM Remote VEConfigure. expected configurable service : MultiPlus 12/3000 but received: (com.victronenergy.vebus.ttyS4) along with the error kn2vsc-33, No VE.Bus product was found. Hope this helps figure this out. My Cerbo GX was recently upgraded from 2.92 to 3.42.My Multiplus has firmware 2702430. Thanks.
You will probably have to reboot the gx and try again (with no dmc connected)
Make sure it is in the on position in software under the inverter in device list on the gx itself
And that the mk3 driver (on the gx is up to date)
Figured it out today. If the inverter is OFF, then you get that error. Turned on the inverter and finished the upgrade. Had a few other issues on the way but was able to get those resolved too. I have not seen that error listed as “check that the inverter is switched on” Maybe now, it will help someone else. Thanks for your help. This can be closed.
