Issues with downloading Remote VEConfigure File ("No VE Bus Product was found")

Full disclosure: 15 years of power system experience but Victron Noob here.

Have new remote 48V off grid system with LFP batteries. System overview and associated data connections is shown below.

I have remote access with GX LTE 4GE. Communication with VRM portal and Victron Connect App works perfectly, that is until I attempted to modify my MULTIPLUS II settings (which are still factory defaults). I reviewed previous postings and made sure all my firmware was updated and that two way communication was enabled. However, when I tried to download the VEConfigure file for the Multiplus, I got a “No VE.Bus product was found”, Error “mk2vsc-33”. Collection of relevant screen shots is shown below:

The only possible relevant troubleshooting I could find was in the “Advanced” menu in the remote console in VRM Portal. I tried “redetect VE/Bus system” as well as “Restart VE.Bus System” they both took quite some time but had no effect, got the exact same error.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

Do you have access to the unit? The firmware looks quite old I am running 5.10. I don’t have a need for the latest atm but ve config works well. I have had errors like this. Usually caused by the connection over wifi. It is always good to have the mk3 cable in case the unit is bricked or you need to do some programming with some of the other victron software. If you have a poor connection I would not try a remote firmware update and you need to have access to the unit.

Is the mk3 driver up to date at on the gx?

Thanks @owenb79 and @lxonline,

My bad, both my Cerbo-S GX and Multiplus were not running the latest firmware. I was able to bring the Cerbo up to date (v3.50) but that made no difference still got the same error. The unit is about 150 miles away so I tried updating the firmware remotely but as you predicted, it was not successful (got the same error message as when I trie to download the config file).
I hope to get up there this upcoming weekend will attempt to update the firmware and update a few of the config settings. Will report back see if the update allows improved remote access, I sure hope so!
