Hello,
I’ve setup a Multi RS Smart 48V/6000VA/100A with a cerbo gx and VM-3P75CT energy meter and a LifePo4 battery with a JK bms to use Victron’s ESS.
Everything is connected to the cerbo gx and works great!
I done ESS setups before but with this setup it looks like the Multi RS does not sees the energy meter. So it cannot compensate for any power usage with the available battery/solar..
(I had the same problems with the et112 energymeter without can and on a other users recommendation changed to the victron can meter but with the same result..)
See Multi RS Smart does not use ESS grid set point
Did you select this one correctly?
I dont have the ESS options in the remote console
Only in Victron Connect app
you can find that in victron connect:
Thanks, I have enabled the energy meter with victron connect.
The multi RS still does not sees the power usage of the house
Hi @aloisdecroon since you specifically mention “Victron CAN meter” I’m assuming you have connected the VM-3P75CT via CAN, correct? If not, then you should connect the VM-3P75CT to the Multi-RS via CAN.
It also looks like you have configured the VM-3P75CT as a three-phase meter, while it is only connected to a single phase. Please change the phase configuration setting to “Only L1” in Victron Connect.
Thank you Luc,
This was the final step!
I had connected the VM-3P75CT via CAN to the Cerbo GX
Now connected the energy meter directly to the Multi-RS and everything works perfectly!
Also changed the config of the VM-3P75CT to 1 phase
