Multi RS Smart does not use ESS grid set point

Hello,

I’ve setup a Multi RS Smart 48V/6000VA/100A with a cerbo gx and ET112 energy meter and a LifePo4 battery with a JK bms to use Victron’s ESS.
Everything is connected to the cerbo gx and works great!

I done ESS setups before but with this setup it looks like the Multi RS does not sees the energy meter. So it cannot compensate for any power usage with the fully charged available battery..

Hi as far as i know only the victron vm3p75ct meter is supported over ve can

No support for carlo gavazzi meters right now on the multi rs

Multi rs 2 tracker doesnt feed in to the grid after installing meter

Only the VM-3P75CT is supported, and only while using CAN at the moment. From the firmware changelog: Energy meter VM-3P75CT support: The energy meter is supported by the Multi RS Solar 48/6000/100-450/100 (PMR482602020), installation and configuration requirements: The Multi RS and the energy meter are connected to the same CAN bus, ethernet is not supported for this application. The Energy meter role is set to ‘Grid meter’. Ensure that the the current transformers are installed correctly…

And this is not gonna change anytime soon?
Maybe if the cerbo gx can act as a CAN bridge between the et112 and multi rs in the future..

No idea if it will change in the future… victron will not let you know that sort of things on this community
