Multi rs 2 tracker doesnt feed in to the grid after installing meter

Hello everyone, I’ve recently installed a et112 meter and connected it to my cerbo trough the usb to rs485 cable, i activated the grid meter in the multi rs, but it’s not feeding the grid as expected.

I saw that on some update the meter should be connected to the same ve can, but this meter doesn’t have ve can. Is it because of not being connected to the ve can ? And trough usb ? Or am I missing something regarding the definitions?

Thank you !

Have you set a grid code in the multi rs itself?

Oh you right ! Not set yet but I’m unsure how to set it has in the manual there isn’t much information since there isn’t a code here I have to choose other but how do I set the password? To be able to change it?

With the grid code it feeds in the loads but when I activate the energy meter support he stops feeding and says inverter is switched off

I was trying to find out if it only has can meter supoort or the et112 support as well.
I have not used either meter yet with an RS.

Only the VM-3P75CT is supported, and only while using CAN at the moment.

From the firmware changelog:

Energy meter VM-3P75CT support:

The energy meter is supported by the Multi RS Solar 48/6000/100-450/100 (PMR482602020), installation and configuration requirements:

  • The Multi RS and the energy meter are connected to the same CAN bus, ethernet is not supported for this application.
  • The Energy meter role is set to ‘Grid meter’.
  • Ensure that the the current transformers are installed correctly, the polarity is important, energy consumption from the utility reports as a positive number.
  • Energy meter support on the Multi RS is enabled.
  • The Multi RS system instance is set to 0.

Specific for 3 phase setups the control behavior is:

  • 3 phase utility with just 1 RS: control the sum of all phases to the grid set-point.
  • 3 phase utility with 3 RS units: each phase is controlled individually to the grid set-point.

Ok that makes sense then, regarding the ups not activating when my grid goes off has to do with the same issue ? Thank you
