Hello users of the Multi RS,
When commissioning a Multi RS, I set the grid code to Germany. It now shows an error indicating that this setting is incorrect, and as a result, the grid relay does not switch on.
I now expect that I should have set it to Europe instead.
Coming from the MultiPlus-II, I was used to selecting Germany.
As already mentioned elsewhere, this setting can only be configured once.
Resetting to factory defaults unfortunately does not change this setting.
I am now unable to change the grid code, as it appears a password is required?
Is this correct? And should I now request this password from the supplier (NKON)?
Or are there any other ways to change this setting?
Yes do this.
Although i don’t see much difference in the grid code tolerances? So maybe you do need to trouble shoot a bit
I agree with you, it seems to be a different issue.
I have a 3-phase connection, with one Multi RS connected to Phase 3.
In the system settings, I can choose between Standalone or 3-phase (Left/Right).
When I activate 3-phase Right, an error occurs and the grid relay is disconnected.
#75 Network not properly configured
3-phase operation is not yet certified in combination with the selected grid code.
The Multi RS is connected via a Cerbo GX and is also equipped with a VM-3P75CT.
The latest firmware updates were done today.
Is it already possible to operate in a 3-phase network with only one Multi RS?
One mutli rs connected to grid and rest inverting?
Or a three phase connection from supply and only one phase with an inverter? If this is the case then it is a stand alone. No need to tell it it is three phase
That’s right, I have a three-phase power supply with only one Multi RS on a single phase.
When I enabled the Standalone function, I got an error.
But that turned out to be because I had connected the VM-3P75CT to the Cerbo GX via Modbus.
I’ve just connected the VM-3P75CT via VE.Can and everything worked immediately as it should.
I was already aware that it might not work via Modbus, but since all values were coming in correctly, I assumed it had already been fixed with a firmware update.
Thanks for your help!
Once the meter is properly configured it is either connected via can or ethernet.
Modbus is used in some circumstances like over the shared local network. (Ethernet) As it has to be enabled for it to work. So where did you intel come from? Or maybe why did it not work for you? (People have been using modbus for ages to oull its data into home assistant so it has been working via modbus)
"I follow several channels on YouTube, including this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTBLz_9uDrM&t=923s
This is a reliable source, and he states that a configuration with Multi RS Solar only works with the VM-3P75CT, and only if it is connected via VE CAN.
It does not (yet) work via Ethernet."
