MPPT 100 20 operation

The picture in the device manual shows the slot next to the fuse as the jumper link. I have two of these units. PV1 was not turning on because the PV voltage was too low. (Blue Led blinking every 5 seconds and message in the app described why the charger was not turning on.)
When I was checking the fuse in the MPPT on PV1 I noticed a small black plastic piece sticking out of the jumper slot. After pulling the plastic piece out then refitting it the charger turned on and started to charge OK. The second unit on PV2 has this small plastic piece pushed in much deeper than the one I refitted. The day before the fault was noticed the system had been worked on by a service agent to investigate why I was getting overheating LED flashing error codes.

Can some one explain the proper use and fitting of the plastic piece in the jumper slot and what is the correct depth that it should be fitted to. TIA

Hi here is the link to the Manuel (push it in to it stops but don’t push too hard)

Thank you for the reply Dave. I think I am a victim of a broken jumper on PV2.

The section you provided in the manual was very helpful but now I am questioning the correct jumper pin setting I should be using.

I have set up the connect APP and have the settings as shown in the attached pictures. Both MPPTs have the same settings.

When reading the manual is says if using the APP then the jumper should be removed.

I am also trying to understand if using the jumper, which is the best choice.

I have an under lying issue where the system alarms low battery at 11.65v and was wondering if using the 1 + 2 jumper pin setting might assist with the low voltage alarm?

So I am left with should I be using the jump link and if yes which setting?

Remove it
