Hi all, my system looks like this. I have an 6kw Growatt hybrid inverter on the back of my MP2 8000VA. I’m trying to understand export to the grid and pass-through. Example, If the Growatt is producing 6kw, and the pylon techs on the MP2 are full, then 6kw gets exported to the grid. If at the same time I set the MP2 grid set point to -3000w (for example), the amount going back to the grid will be 9kw, right? Is there a limit that the MP2 8000VA can handle? Is the limit the 100a transfer switch?
The limit is what it can invert from the battery, or its power -6400watts continuous at 25°C
thanks for your reply. When my Growatt is producing 6kw and it’s batteries are full, and the MP2 PylonTech batteries are also full, 6kw goes to the grid by default, with no negative set point. The MP2 seems to just ‘pass it through’. If I then on top of that set -3000w am i correct in thinking 9kw would be being exported to the grid? Of course I can test this but wanted to make sure I didn’t exceed any MP limits.
Ok, well then its the transfer switch that you would be interested in. And that is 100A at grid voltage for the 8kVa. It will easily manage the 9kVa
