I’m going to connect four Lithium Superpack NG 25.6V/100Ah batteries in parallel. However, I need a constant power supply because my heaters need to complete a run-on cycle. Is there a way to bypass the internal BMS solely for my water and air heaters?
No (internal BMS): your normal loads, as well as the heating system’s control connections, are switched off via a relay (a Battery Protect, for example) in the event of undervoltage protection (with an external BMS).
All important loads are normally wired directly to the battery via their load connection (with suitable fuses, of course), so the heating systems can complete their run-on cycle properly. On a boat, for example, the engine controls or rudder system should be wired accordingly as well (the control circuits are either switched off or merely trigger a warning when the situation is critical, and an override must be available).
If in doubt, you’ll need to switch to the smart batteries (SuperPack has an internal BMS).
Would it be possible to use the EFS to switch a relay and thereby de-energise the heater controls, allowing the heaters to complete their run-on cycle?
