VRM Device List does not show existing VE.Bus System

Hi, I am new to the Victron World and currently only have a Multiplus 2 GX. At the moment it is powered by a DC lab power supply. The only connection to my LFP battery is through the BMS cable using VE.Can.

I used VRM to upgrade the firmware to v3.51 and v552. I then used Remote VEConfigure: downloaded the rvsc file, changed it with VEConfigure3 (to enable ESS Assistant), and uploaded it again.

Now the VRM Device List no longer shows the “VE.Bus System” and no longer offers the Remote VEConfigure button:

If I hit “Firmware Update” I get the expected result:

I have not found a solution via google and hope that the experts here might be able to help. How can the VE.Bus System and the Remote VEConfigure button be shown again?

PS: In the MP GUI → Settings → ESS I get “No ESS Assistant found”. Not sure if this is related.

Figured it out. The root cause was that I had set Multiplus II →Switch → Off in the remote console. After setting it to “On” the VE.Bus System and the Remote VEConfigure button reappeared in VRM.
