Hi,
I have the following CAN-enabled devices:
- a cerbo GX with 2 x 2 CAN ports
- a multiplus with 2 CAN ports
- a lynx smart BMS NG (2 CAN ports)
- a wakespeed WS500 alternator regulator, with 2 CAN ports, which is provided with a “crossover cable”, the cable is assymetrical with a black terminator on the ws500 side and a blue terminator on the vitron side.
I was under the impression that I could just chain my devices whichever way I want, eg terminator->cerboGx->BMS->Multiplus->ws500->terminator but now that I saw this crossover cable thing I’m not so sure.
do I need to connect the ws500 to the other cerboGX CAN port ? If I do so, will the ws500 be able to communicate with the BMS?
overall, which topology would you recommend?
thank you !
