Firmware Updates to Quattro: What was changed?

I recently updated my firmware:
Cerbo GX: v3.66
Quattro 48/8000/110-2x100 rev2: v588
SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/100: v1.26
ESS active.

I have noticed some changes.

Normally the SOC is between 75 and 80% by 07:30. It is now 100%.

There is no power from the PV Charger.

I normally change the inverter mode to inverter only and hence stop the power coming in from the grid.

The PV Charger then starts bringing in power.

I have just (07:40) switched the mode to On and the PV Charger does not bring in power. 100 - 120W coming from the grid.

What has changed, and why?

Mode: On

Mode: Inverter only.

After a firmware update on a quattro it is reset to factory defaults, see manual. This means you have to restore from a backup or go through the setup process again.

Thank you kindly. I will look into this.

Quite correct, I see that the last version (RVCS file) of the settings is not compatible with the firmaware and will have to go through the setup again using VE Config 3 and then download the RVSC file as a backup.

Managed to get that sorted out.

The problem was when I tried upload the last VE Config file an error message came up indicating that is was not compatible with the firmware - a direct link between the firmware and the VE Config file.

This meant I would have to download the default VE Config file on the VRM Portal and apply the settings from the last VE Config file.

I opened both files and ensured I appled the settings from the old file and then uploaded.

It is looking good so far with a little (30 - 100W) power being fed in from the grid.

I will need to check tomorrow morning to see if ESS #1 and 2 display when the SOC is below 100%.

I have not inculded the firmware version in the configuration filename.

@Mac, once again, a hearty thanks for your information.

This morning the inverter is “behaving” as expected.
