Is there something that I might have been missing in the LynxBMS/Cerbo CX settings. Eventhough the battery SoC drops below 70% the Balmar100A alternator contoller with Wakespeed500 through CAN bus from the LynxBMS doesn’t increase the field drive aboe 75%.
In the data you show in your screenshot the voltage was at 13.5V.
The Lynx BMS has 2 voltages inbuilt, 14.2V and 13.5V, the CVL, charge voltage limit. You can plot this from the widgets, it is listed as BMS Charge and Discharge Limits. See below. If you plot this for the same timescale and post it here then I can comment further, but until I see this I can not tell if it is a BMS or a WS500 settings that is limiting the device to 75% field. If at the time the CVL was 13.5V then the BMS was the limit, if the CVL was 14.2V then the WS500 is the limit.
Thanks for the clarification. The voltage and current limits should be quite high. Also the Wakespeed has been limited to 100A with the Wakespeed app.
The BMS is calling for 14.2V so the BMS is working correctly and the Wakespeed should be running at a higher field than 75%. The alternator temperature does not appear to be high enough to be causing the field drive to regulate to a lower value.
This appears to be a WS500 issue. Have you got the small alternator mode active somehow as the default setting for small alternator mode is 0.75 times the required field drive. On the dip switches per the start up guide set No8 to off = full mode. I have seen this 75% limit reported elsewhere from having the small alt mode enabled or set the small alt value in the %SCA command from 0.75 to 1.00.
