Evcs always screen on

After updating to firmware version 1.29, the screen never turns off.

Hey @fermin.
Can you provide more details about what you mean? Maybe some photos, videos.

Hey.
It is set to turn off in 10 seconds. I have tried changing that amount and the same thing. It doesn’t turn off.

But active and idle backlight is the same. Set the active backlight bigger than the idle and you should see a transition.

Hey.
Thanks for responding so quickly
Before, the charger’s touch screen turned off completely when time passed. And when I clicked on it again it turned on.
Now it’s only getting dimmer.
Will it always stay on?
thank you

Yes, it will stay on the brightness level which is specified in the ‘idle backlight’.
Do you want the display to stay totally dark?

Sorry for the delay in responding.
Indeed, leaving the screen completely off. That saves energy and makes the screen last longer.
Also, if you have the charger in a community garage, it is not so visible.
Thanks.

ok. Write please PM to [removed by Guy] Let’s check your setup.

Good morning.
I have updated the electric vehicle charger firmware to v2.0 and everything seems to be ok.
But when I go to access via web it appears:

I don’t know if the browser is old, since in another web browser (Opera) it does load (although it takes a little while).
The same thing may be happening to users who get the vehicle charger screen blocked with this message.

I also wanted to propose two improvements to the charger, which in my opinion would be important:

a) Have an Ethernet connection so as not to depend only on Wi-Fi. In my case I have had connection problems, since the 2.4 Wi-Fi is saturated where I live. I have had to install a router just behind the wall where the charger is to avoid these problems.

b) For me the most important: When the charge is defined in Scheduler mode, you have the possibility of NOT using the battery power. When I charge the car at night, the system discharges my batteries first and then uses energy from the electrical grid. Obviously I am not going to buy 80Kw of batteries to charge the car. The batteries are good to keep the house running, but they are insufficient to charge the car.
For example: if I charge the car from 1AM to 7AM I run out of energy in the batteries and at 7AM I don’t have energy to use at home and I have to buy it from the grid (more expensive).

Greetings and thank you very much.

Hello @fermin.
It seems like Firefox browsers was a problems in earlier versions with JS classes syntax support. You can see bug reports here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1499448
It is fixed in Firefox now. Try to updtate your browser.

a) Ethernet will be present on the next EVCS HW versions.
b) We’ve had some discussions here [FEATURE REQUEST] EV Charger Option not Discharge Battery
