Today I updated the EV charging station to firmware 2.0. The Cerbo GX was already running v3.50. I did this via the Frimware Update option in the Device list from my laptop. It took 3 attempts but then everything seemed to go fine. No obvious problems except - if I attempt to access the Control via the button on the charger in the Device list it opens a new tab ‘https://216320-evcs40.proxyrelay1.victronenergy.com/login.htm’ and then hangs. If I try 192.168.1.144 via my browser then same screen, same result. Pages trys to load forever and fails.
Any suggestions? Anyone else finding the same issue? Not sure if it’s a bug in the new version or …??
I’m experience the same problems after the update.
Any News?

Not yet. The charger is currently in the back of a lorry returning to the north of Scotland. I left the charger connected overnight after I posted and in the morning the screen wasn’t working! So returned for repair. The charger has been a bit of a saga. Bought March 23. Had to pay an electrician another £600 to fit the RCD etc required under UK regs. It is only used when my son visits to charge his car- so approx 5 nights. Other than that is is disconnected. When I updated the firmware it was switched on for nearly 24 hours and the screen blew! The same charger if bought today is almost £1000 cheaper. Looking back it doesn’t feel like the best decision I’ve ever made.
I should have the charger re-installed midweek with luck when I’ll try again and let you know. No comment from Victron as you can see. It would be useful to know if anyone else has updated and can access the Control Panel successfully.

I’ve tryed resetting the charger, resetting the Cerbo.
“Downgraded” the Cerbo to Venus small.
Deleted the EVCS but no luck so far.
UPDATE ;
And after a few hours (approx 10) the charger is back in the Cerbo
Didn’t do anything for this
Some progress @Martin13. Charger returned today and re-installed. Not fully resolved but I am pretty certain it is browser issue when trying to access the Charger webpage.
Nothing at all to do with firmware downlaods. I was thinking this could be an option whilst it was away for repair. If this was a real login bug then it would surely have been picked up during Beta testing, etc.
The details:
Today I double checked every single setting on Cerbo and on the charger (via Victron Connect). Trying to acces the Charger web page via the Cerbo Device list or directly using the IP address always resulted in -
So I turned to the browser option. I use Firefox on both my laptop and mobile. The charger has an Access point beside it for wifi, same network name and password as the house.
Entering the charger IP in the mobile browser bar inside the house returned ‘Unable to connect’. Went outside with mobile next to charger and access point. Charger web page loads first time - no issue! Back inside, mobile now loads Charger webpage there as well. Went outside with laptop on wifi, same failure to load login page as illustrated above. So I tried Microsoft Edge on wifi outside. I have never used Edge so any settings would be ‘default’. Charger webpage loads fine, and again inside via ethernet.
Conclusion
It is something to do with the settings on my laptopversion of Firefox
Next step: Try and discover what is different about the Firefox settings on my laptop compared to my mobile! No time for that now, food to buy, meals to cook, etc.
I’d be interested to know what browser @Martin13 is using. Without charging a car(!) everything else about the charger seems to be working fine. The issue was simply logging onto the Charger webpage to adjust schedules, etc.

Eureka. I suspect the problem and solution may be unique to myself, but just in case.
I use Firebox as my web browser, and DuckDuckGo as my search engine. I had added the following Extension to Firefox -
It has been there for some time and this is the first time to my knowledge it has caused any issue. You can exclude sites, so simple to allow access to the Charger web page either direct using the IP address, or via the URL used by the Device List.
I hadn’t tried to access the Charger web page since April/ May this year. There was no problem then. Two changes since the Spring 1)The Charger firmware update 2) The DuckDuckGo extension had an update late October, so no clear evidence as to which update caused the issue.
Perhaps if a clever person from Victron reads this they can confirm/check it wasn’t the Charger firmware. Either way problem solved for me. Yippee!

Hey David,
I’m mostly using the standard Safari browser.
But to be sure I’ve also tested with Firefox when I got this issue.
For me this was no difference in behavior.
But glad to hear that your system is also working.
Greetings Martin
