Handling a frozen EVCS display after firmware update

Hello,
here is feedback with a small problem.

I was not onsite during update of the firmware…
But when I came, the EVCS screen was frozen at the loading page…

The page was not completely frozen, the dots were moving. The charger was normally working, including possibility to control through Cerbo.

I tried to reboot through VictronConnect, It rebooted, but no change. I tried also power switch off - hard reboot, also no change. Display is still frozen. But EVCS working normally. Including nice control panel through VRM
Can you help me with solution? FW reinstall? Only to mention…during your update, the car was charging at EVCS.

Hello Lucian, can you please help me with the charger? Display is frozen from the firmware update: EVCS beta testing - request to be added to the beta testing here - #43

Hi, I will update it again, make sure the unit is not restarted before the updated finishes. I think that happened during the previous update and the screen didn’t receive the new FW.

Should be ok now

Hello, unit was restarted only after 6+ hours after your update, so not the root cause…
I will check afternoon if OK and report.
Thank you.

Hello Lucian,
beta version works fine, no troubles so far.
I have noticed one point that can be improved - ergonomics of the buttons at the charger screen.
Buttons are too close to the edge of the charger. Screen is quite deep and some buttons are hard to activate. Can you move a bit from the edges?
Also there is not visible which picture is active (includes submenu)…can be solved with some common mark at corner…see pictures.

Have a nice day and thanks for the update

Hi @Frantisek. There is a blue border around the EVCS rectangle. It means that it is clickable. It is the same for the WEB interface and display. If a blue border exists - there is an additional interface for it.
