EV charger not found on app

Hi I’m still new to victron, I have a victron EV charger installed last year due to part of our planning to build our house. We have only just got an EV car. I can charge the car manually but it’s not showing on my app

I have pressed the touch screen a few times on the ev charger and I can see it’s connected to my WiFi.

Any ideas how to get it into the app please?

Have you turned on Modbus in VRM - Settings?

It’s quite a way down the list in the first settings options menu.

You need to do this, then you will see the option to “scan for devices”

VRM will then find your EVCS and it will be added into your VRM system devices.

Hi Jim,

Yes that’s correct it has the modus TCP server enabled but that is in orange. Is that what you’re referring to?

Sorry, I should have asked - do you only have the Victron EVCS EV charger, is it a stand alone device or is it part of a larger Victron solar and battery system?

I was presuming from my original reply that you have other Victron solar products such as Quattro or Multiplus and centrally controlled by a Cerbo GX or other GX derivative.

My response was presuming you were trying to integrate into a larger system.

I believe if you are using the EVCS as a stand alone charger, you need to use the Victron Connect app which connects via Bluetooth.
