Ess assistant not found ,multiplus

Hi everyone,

I have a system composed of:

Multiplus 12/1600/70

Victron BlueSolar charge controller

Cerbo GX

SmartShunt for battery monitoring

All components are properly connected, and the UPS function is enabled. However, I can’t configure the system as an ESS (Energy Storage System). When I go into the settings, I see the message “ESS Assistant not found.”

Am I missing something? Any advice on how to fix this?

You need to install the ESS assistant to the MultiPlus first.

But you should check the local laws/regulations.
Your Multi doesn’t have an internal NS-protection which is required for ESS use in some countries.

Thank you all so much for the help! I followed your suggestions, and now everything is working perfectly. I was able to enable the system as an ESS without any issues. It also seems that the inverter has the internal NS protection, which is great.
