ESS to Multiplus 12/3000/120-16?

Hello

We have on our ship a Victron system with:

*BlueSolar Charger MPPT 100/30

*Energy Cerbo GX MK2 control

*Multiplus 12/3000/120-16- firmware:v159

System works with grid or solar power, but we have not been able to implement ESS, to optimize use of solar energy. Target would be to have a state where we can set specs for optimizing solar energy through ESS (supported by configs done with VEConfigure).

We tried to add ESS through VEConfigure but it is not possible, as is says that firmware does not support.

We managed to update firmware to version: 2600159 (was v158) through VESharp, but after this we got stuck with how to update to a version that supports ESS. Or understanding if it even is possible to update to a suitable firmware?

Is it possible to add a firmware version to Multiplus 12/3000 that is capable of ESS?

Or is there any other way to get ESS functionality for this set?

ESS isn’t supported for mobile use due to safety concerns.
If you have an old processor multi you cannot run the firmware required, on newer ones that have old code veflash is required - latest version is 2600556.

  • In off-grid systems, with or without a generator
  • In marine systems
  • In automotive systems
