Hello there, trying to connect in parallel identical GXii 48/5000, with identical VRM ID numbers, both units are connected to the same 48V/600Ah battery bank (identical lenght of DC wiring). Updated both units to latest F/W ver.3.70 over Remote Console. Physically disconnected GX card (power, short blue RJ45) in one of the units. However when connecting units together through VE.bus I’m getting fault message on both units stating Code #25. And this message on VRM Portal “ VE.Bus System [275] - VE.Bus Error: VE.Bus Error 25: Firmware incompatibility. The firmware of one of the connected device is not sufficiently up to date to operate in conjunction with this device “

Just to add, I do have MK3 dongle connected to Windows laptop.

I’ve tried to use VE.Bus Quick Configure, that failed too with message about incompatibility of units.

Any help would be appreciated

Thats the VenusOS version, of the GX. But you need matching inverter firmwares. Thats also possible through VRM or with the Mk3

Use VictronConnect instead it will update both units to the same FW at once.

I’ve just found video on YouTube how to update inverter F/W on multiplus. Hope that would work similar.

Theres manuals for everything from victron. Like Matthias said, using VictronConnect over the Mk3 would be the preferred way

But you can also use the older VE.Config over the Mk3 or through VRM remote firmware update

Yup, thank you folks for advices and pointing me right direction. . Only little problem now solved was the password
