Connecting multi plus 2 and multi plus 2 gx

Was told they will connect but system saying incompatible firmware

Serial no. Are HQ2551FHPER HQ2508GJZRF

Compatibility ID: 2611 / 2611_A

Firmware Non-GX: v556
GX: v557

Ended up using victron flash and force uploaded 557 to the 556 multiplus 2

Both need to be on the same firmware, so you have to update the EasySolar to 557.

Iv tried to update them both, and it saying they both upto date

The important part is that they both need to be using the same version. Which is not necessarely the most up-to-date on both devices. So if v557 is not available for the non-GX MP, then you need to downgrade the GX MP to v556.

It could also be an issue with VictronConnect not having the most recent files. In both cases you would need to get the “missing” firmware file from https://professional.victronenergy.com/

What are the full firmware numbers as written on the device labels? For example 2611556 for the non-GX MP
