Hi, I’m trying to configure Dynamic ESS for my home installation, but the setup wizard keeps looping and never progresses to the Buy/Sell prices step.
System details
-
Victron MultiPlus-II GX 48/5000/70-50
-
ESS installed and active
-
Pylontech battery connected over CAN and detected correctly
-
ET112 grid meter connected and detected correctly
-
AC-coupled PV inverter: GoodWe GW5000D-NS on AC-out-1
-
Grid connection: 1x40A
-
Country: Netherlands
-
Currency: EUR
-
Location in VRM is now saved correctly
Current ESS status
-
ESS mode: Optimized with BatteryLife
-
Grid metering: External meter
-
Minimum SOC: 20%
-
Grid setpoint: 0 W
Problem
When I start Dynamic ESS configuration in VRM, the wizard loops between:
-
System
-
Battery
and never proceeds to the Buy/Sell prices step.
The same happens both:
-
in the browser (Chrome)
-
in the VRM app
Values entered
System:
-
Can sell energy back to the grid: Yes
-
Maximum import power: 9 kW
-
Maximum export power: 5 kW
-
Operating mode: Green mode
Battery:
-
Battery capacity: 4.8 kWh
-
Maximum charge power: 2.4 kW
-
Maximum discharge power: 2.4 kW
I also tried:
-
integer values only
-
dot and comma as decimal separators
-
re-entering values multiple times
-
saving location again
-
browser refresh / retry
-
app instead of browser
No matter what I do, pressing Next returns me to the earlier step and the configuration does not complete.
Additional notes
-
Location initially did not seem to save in VRM, but now it does.
-
Dynamic ESS still does not complete.
-
ESS itself works correctly.
-
Battery, grid meter, and inverter are all visible and functioning in VRM and GX.
-
I can see the battery in Device List and ESS menu is present on GX.
Question
Is this a known bug in VRM / Dynamic ESS setup?
Is there a manual way to configure Buy/Sell prices or bypass the broken wizard?
Screenshots available
I have screenshots of:
-

-

-
battery and grid meter visible
-
firmware versions
If useful, I can attach them.
