The Orion XS reads out the voltage of the starter battery. Is there an option available to display this value on the main screen of the Ekrano?
And I have seen that the BMS NG does not read out the values directly to the Ekrano, they pass true the charger/inverter/multiplus and options like temperature are disappearing. I need to place also an extra shunt to check my dc-loads. And this option is already available in my NG Lithium battery, is this available in the future to display this on the Ekrano panel?
Thanks for the response!
There is no option to display the starter battery voltage on the overview screen. What I have done is load the large Venus OS image and enabled Node Red. In Node Red create a virtual battery called “Starter Battery”. Then read the input voltage from the Orion and output that to the Starter Battery. Then on the Ekrano when you tap on the battery icon you will see a battery listing the starter voltage.
Regarding your second point, which NG BMS do you have.
If it is the VE Bus BMS then do you have it wired as per 3.1.2 in the manual so the BMS is connected to both devices.
If it is a Lynx BMS then the BMS should be connected direct to the Ekrano by VE Can and the Multiplus by VE Bus, both entirely separate. Also you need the VE Can terminators.
Thanks for the tip, I will install the large Venus OS image!
The BMS that is installed is the Victron VE.Bus BMS NG and connected to the Multiplus with the ethernet cable and the Ekrano is connected to the Remote panel output.
The is no option available in the settings/system setup/batteries to see the NG battery directly. Only with the Multiplus you can see the battery info. This info is also not the same as you can see with the bluetooth Victron app.
I am familiar with the Lynx withh all NG battety info. The VE Bus BMS appears more limited.
The Node Red application is working, thanks for this tip!
Also in Node Red I can not find any parameters from the NG battery, I hope they will add this function later!
@Victron can there be in the future more functions available regarding this NG installation?
