Does anyone know whether the (dis-)charge current of the NG batteries is communicated by the VE.Bus NG to a GX device ? The BMS manual (section 8.2) only speaks about how to make the SOC visible on a GX device. The NG battery manual (section 5.1) shows a table which confirms that battery voltage and temperature is communicated to the GX but current apparently not. But the introduction of the VE.Bus NG on the Victron site (VE.Bus BMS NG | Victron Energy) says that it “…derives all key parameters including voltage, current, state of charge and individual cell data directly from the battery, removing the need for a separate SmartShunt”. If I no longer need a shunt, then I would expect to see also the battery current on the GX device (using remote console or VRM portal). Can anyone confirm that is indeed the case ?
