I have a Multiplus 1600 (new shape with plastic case) and it’s connected to 330Ah of AGM batteries. I have shore power supplying the Multiplus and a low wattage mains device connected to the inverter side of the Multiplus.
I need to disconnect the batteries for a few minutes, but I also want to leave the mains device connected (with the power uninterrupted) and running off shore power.
Is this safe and possible, please? Obviously I need to be careful of the cables to the batteries when I disconnect them, but I’m concerned that I might damage the Multiplus by doing this.
If you are ONLY operating the Multi Plus WITHOUT any devices connected to the output, the Multi should be able to be powered via the small charger.
BUT where do you get the mains power for the small charger? … then you could just connect the Multi here as well…
The Multiplus will remain connected to the shore power supply (220v input) and I want it to continue supplying 220v to the device. II hope the Multiplus will operate as 220v “pass through”.
